ALEXANDER KING DESTROYED TEMPLE OF GOD AHURAMAZDA

The humiliation that the Persians suffered the first attempt to dominate Athens in 490 BC, Greek victory would mark the story with the first marathon race, at the place called Marathon. Hundred thousand Persian soldiers were defeated by a much smaller number of Greeks. In 480, the Persian king Xerxes put to flight the population of Athens and revenge destroyed the temples of the gods in Greek Acropolis. When Alexander came to power, one hundred and fifty years later, he has not forgotten the humiliation that the Persians had submitted the Greek gods and when Alexander invaded Persia he destroyed the temple of the Persian god Ahuramazda.
